Default rear bearing replacement....

just wondering if anyone here has had there rear bearing replaced.... the tic, tic, tic noise that i've been hearing and thought had fixed by re-torquing the axle nut, has returned, i had the dealer torque it down but the mechanic said it's one or all of these possibilities, bearings, axle, diff. i'll have to get it properly diagnosed and fixed this monday.

has anyone been through this?? please chime in with advice or suggestions....
dealer is charging me $200-$750 depending on what it is....
