Default Rear Brake Noise

I recently changed my pads to Porterfield R4S all round, after about 500 miles I did a track day and after a few laps the rears were smoking terribly, I guess the pads were not bedded in properly, I did a few more sessions but it happened again so I called it a day. During the next week I started to hear a noise when I was braking at slow speeds, Its a slapping noise from the rear brakes when they are applied, I presume its the pads hitting the disc.

I took the rears apart, cleaned up the pads, runners, etc and regreased with copper slip and for a week the problem went away, however its now started to happen again, any ideas?

Anyone know if this was diagnosed/fixed? I have the same thing right now - just posted about it.

The sliders may be binding.

Make sure the tabs on the metal backing plate of your inside brake pads are aligned with the notches in the rear brake pistons.

well...my mechanic said its the rotor not completely flat...and a resurface would fix it.

i decided to just live with it, presuming it is the rotors.

with the car lifted...and when i turn the wheels, there is ONE location on the wheel that has more resistance than all other (consistent resistance) locationso n the wheel.

i suppose this verifies that it is the rotor...

bump... i just install r4s pads and i have the same prob! it's coming from rear driver side.

from a dead stop, i would accelerate to about 6mph, apply the brakes, and i hear a slapping/clicking noise on the rear.

anyone else have any thoughts?

update: i greased the slider pins on the rear, and it's still making that clicking/slapping sound.. the sound is similar to a torque wrench clicking
