Default Rear Brakes

Did a search on this, and I cannot find someone with the same issue.

Went out early this morning to try and get my pads changed. Got 3 corners really quick, but when I got to driver's rear, I ran into an issue. When I spin the piston inside the caliper, it doesn't retract.

Any ideas on what is going on?

Are you using arbrake caliper tool to turn the piston while compressing it back to sit flush against the caliper?

Might also help if you loosen the bleeder valve on the caliper, but it can possibly introduce air into the lines.

No, I am just using a 3/8" drive ratchet with the caliper mounted on one of the bolts. I was pushing at the same time as turning.

You really need to use a proper tool to do this. I used the kit that looks like this:

Pushing (front) or turning (rear) caliper pistons back in with the bleeder open is always a good thing.
That way you do not push the worst and oldest brake fluid back in the lines.
(and you don't overflow the reservoir)
A hose on the bleeder, with the other end in a jar filled with brake fluid, will prevent air getting in.

It can take a while to retract the rear piston.
But you have allready done 1, so you know how many turns it took (roughly)?
Did you do the same amount of turns on the other one?
How far is that piston sticking out now?

Open bleeder, push & turn, it should work.

I've turned it a good 10-15 total rotations now. I'll try to open the bleeder and give it another shot.
