Default rear clunking noise after coilover install

hey all.
i have the odd rear suspension noise. it began after i installed my coilovers (ARK ST-P). the helper springs are threaded all the way up so i dont think its the spring slapping around, yet it does sound like that.
the noise is REALLY inconsistent, sometimes over bumps and sometimes not. sometimes i hear it just when i jump into the seat.

the noise is also considerably louder/frequent on the passenger side.

maybe i have the spring/collar/helper spring setup wrong?

thanks guys.

-Nick.

ps. i installed these myself, everything is right and im pretty sure installed correctly. im an auto tech but dont get much aftermarket suspension in my bay, just looking for some direction here.

did you preload the suspension before tightening any of the bolts?

yep. almost sounds like the spring moving around but its both the helper and regular coil spring are tight.

nope all dry, it sounds like a bad sway bar link but the noise isn't only over bumps.

Did you check your sway bar endlinks anyway? Loose bolt will cause a random noise similar to what you're hearing.

thats a valid point, will check that when i get under the car next.

i may just get a new set of endlinks to eliminate them fully.

I'm trying to sort out this very same issue!

Only difference is it's not a "clunk" sound, it's more of a "clack" sound. (Like if a small pebble was thrown at the car). It happens sporadically, and mostly over bumps that potentially creates chassis flex (i.e. speed bumps, road dips, entering/exiting elevated driveways, etc). I also have full coilovers & it appears that it's coming from the rear passenger side. I checked my preload and I have no leaks. I'm going to check my endlinks.

i have the exact same noise in the same situation.

i just feel like links would be a consistent noise over any bump/ripple
