rear diff

Is a ap2 rear diff compatible with an ap1. Might be a stupid question but I am unsure

The AP2 diff will work on an AP1 but if memory serves me correct you have to change something in order for it to fit I think where it connects to the driveshaft. Hopefully someone can clarify this.
