He's talking about rear diff fluid. This will not make your tranny notchy or not notchy.

Which one? Is it GL-5 rated? Is it the Redline Shockproof. Shockprood is not recommended for our diffs unless you plan on doing a lot of clutch drops and are willing to change it every 2000 to 3000 miles.

Redline 75W-90 is GL-5 rated and is not "shockproof". You picked a good fluid for your differential, Redline makes very good products. If I drove my car year-round this would be my fluid of choice.

never tried redline but urmil put some mobil 1 75w-90 in my car today and its noticeably quieter. i was having some groaning noises and slight shivers upon engaging the clutch in 1st, now theres NO noise and the shivers are basically gone. granted i bought the car used and i don't know what was in there before and when it was changed, i would say mobil1 is another good option.

The only UOA of Redline 75W-90 that I've seen on this forum was posted by rworne. It didn't appear to be working very well according to the report. If you choose to use this product, please consider doing a UOA when you change it out so we can verify how well it performs in the S2K. Thanks.
