Default REAR end keeps sliding!*eib ach update**

after I had a mechanic at honda install my eibach pro kit springs. my rear keeps sliding around turns.. rear looses traction very easily, and just slides.

im talkin right hand turns/ left hand turns not so aggresive.

30mph 40mph max

whats the deal?

here are pics of the lowering, which i still think isnt right

Welcome to s2k ownership. I've never encountered a 4cyl as tail happy as the s2k, expecially if you lift off the throttle too fast mid corner. What kind've tires?

the spring rate may be lower than the stock springs.

and to be honest, the rear still looks stock height

I know everyone likes the look but just lowering a car does little, and on this car probbaly screws up the RESEARCHED and TESTED stock set-up......

yes its been aligned. and steering wheel is straight.

im scared to turn the thing now. i have a almost 700 rwhp cobra. that can turn with out sliding and thats on a car that cant get traction in 1st 2nd or 3rd.

kinda pissed.

ps i know the back doesnt look lowered, im concerned that the front springs are int he back and back springs are in the front.. anyone have the part numbers for which is which?

Unless you are hitting the bump stops you need to soften the end that is sliding (rear) or stiffen the other end (front) so it slides equally.

What are your tires and pressures? You can get some tuning with tire pressure but I'll bet something is whacked with either your new spring rates (way high) or how they were installed.

Eibach doesn't include directions what springs go front or rear. They can easily be mixed up.

IIRC, the spring # that ends in 1 goes on the front, and the one that ends in 2 goes on the rear.

Make sure the front swaybar was reconnected. If your mechanic went the easy route to install the springs, the swaybar wouldn't need to be removed, but some folks don't know the easy way. If the mechanic forgot to reconnect the front swaybar, then the rear would step out a lot more...I know it sounds counter intuitive...but it is correct.

And as for the alignment...it is not the front alignment that you need to worry about right now...front alignment is what primarily impacts if the steering wheel is straight.

You should be more concerned about what your rear camber and toe might be.
