Default Rear Ride Height Different Side 2 Side

I have stock shocks w/Eibach 1" drop springs installed. They were on the car when I got it a couple months ago. The rear driver side sits about 1/2" higher than the rear passenger side. I read some similar therads suggesting it not being preloaded. I should only need to reinstall my rear driver side Eibach coil because the rear passenger side is at the correct height.

2 quick questions:

So, when I redo my rear driver's side eibach coil to get it to drop the same as the other side do I need to fully remove it & reinstall or just loosen the 3 bolts holding it to the car & then retorque them with a jack stand underneath to put a load on the spring?

Maybe someone can shed some light on how this even preloads the coil, it's seems like the coil would just drop back down once the jack was removed from under the suspension. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Ed

Hmmm. 1/2 an inch is quite a lot. You sure you didn't switch one rear side with the front?

To preload loosen the two A-arm bolts and the lower strut bolt. Jack up the car from the lower arm till the car is off jack stands. Then tighten all bolts back to spec.

Interesting...

I have the same setup and my passenger side is 1/4" higher. Took it all apart and retorqued it down like stated above and it didn't help.

Double check to make sure the spring is sitting correctly in the perch and is not overclocked on the bottom.

Where are you measuring from to get your numbers?

I did the preload today & it's better now. Now it's 1/4" off measured from the top of the rim to the fender well.

I had this problem with my AP1 and oem suspension. The driver side rear was about 1/4"-1/2" lower than the passenger rear.

Tried swapping out the driver side spring, that didnt help.

Picked up a set of Zeal coils, they didnt help either. Preloaded each corner the same, yet the driver side rear is still lower than the passenger.

I ended up raising the driver siderear up a little bit to equal the height on the other side. but don't want the 2 coils to be too different from one another. The fronts are the exact same height.

It also feels like the driver side rear shakes a lot compared to the other side when going over bumps, even over fairly nice roads it seems to happen every once in a while.
