Default rebuilding vortech superchargers

I have an 04 ap2 with a vortech V2 blower on it. I had talked to vortech about two years ago about having my blower rebuilt with the "T Trim" guts. i had read on here about a few people doing it but cant find the threads. Vortech told me all they do as far as rebuilds is new seals and bearings but i know ive talked to people who have done this (including vortech techs) and i am curious as to what vortech actually did and what kind of gains youve seen from it? thanks!

I am thinking of going with the TI trim upgrade from vortech.

They don't list the ti trim anymore but maybe it is still available. TI trim seemed to move more air than the ti trim.

I think it moves 1500cfm if I'm not mistaken.

I have maxed out the stock V2 blower now so if I wind up keeping the car and setup I will definitely be upgrading the blower shooting for 500+

I think Sideways might be on a T trim blower. Besides that I can't recall anyone else, at least who post up regularly, having the t trim upgrade done.

yeah im sitting just under 400 now with the v2 and i cant go any smaller on my pulley or ill be over spinning the impeller. I really wanna know what kind of gains people are seeing with the T trim upgrade? im about to take off my meth kit and go E85 so i wouldnt mind sending the blower in while i have the car ripped apart but not sure if its worth it.... Vortech had no idea what i was talking about when i asked about this upgrade. they told me all they can do with my current blower is redo bearings and seals and to see any power gains i would need to go with a whole new blower.. i think i just had some idiot on the phone though that didnt know what he was talking about?

i also have been reading about people cranking the boost up to like 20 lbs on these blowers and using a waste gate to blow off the extra boost, basically to start making boost earlier. that seems like it might be an effective setup also. but still, i wanna upgrade my blower if its showing good gains...

I spoke to vortech about rebuilding my v2 blower and the guy I spoke to said it is possible to upgrade to the ti trim but also stated that he heard of some s2k owners not having good results with it. I don't remember exactly what the issue was but I think he said surging issues or something. If you do this I'd like to know the results you see from it.

I guess it all depends who you speak with. I have called vortech a few times and they always say no one has ever installed in s2000 as far as they know.

I want someone to do it before I spend a ton of money with that and engine build haha.
