I was thinking of getting axles made by First Equipment Quality (FEQ) from PartsGeek.com since they’re new and other places only have remanufactured ones. So I went to FEQ’s website (www.feqparts.com) and nothing more than the main page comes up. So has anyone here bought axles or any other First Equipment Quality brand product? Also, what about PartsGeek.com? Are they a reputable source?

"first equipment quality is all chinese made and in my experience, junk. i see mostly the VW parts they make and they are terrible. i have personally rejected many of their parts before they either get shipped to a customer or installed."

I'm a bit of an OEM whore so I wouldn't take my chance with something like that, only to be dissappointed or have to fix it with OEM parts later on. Might be worth the extra bit of money to not have to worry about it.

Save some money and go with remanufactured. Should be as good as new and some people will say there even better than new. This would apply to almost all remanufactured parts. Deal with a reputable company to avoid unwanted surprises.

Any of the larger chains such as Autozone, O'riellys etc. since they rely on their reputation. Or any parts dealer you have done business with in the past and have had no complaints.

 

which axle do you need? I bought a set as backup, and don't need them, sold driver's side already, so only have passenger side remaining. lowish mileage (50-60k), from a never lowered car.
