Default removing driver's side door handle

hey guys, I got some new doors to install on my s. I am having a difficult time removing the outer door handle. I removed all the screws that hold on to the metal bracket surrounding the inner portion of the handle (following the manual), but it seems like the key-lock is holding onto the metal bracket, which then holds onto the outer handle.

anyone know how to get this stuff out?

thanks

i don't remember it it was a clip or a cable, but their is one part that is VERY difficult to get off. I took both the passenger and drivers handles off on my ap1 when i changed the the entire car to ap2 keys. it was very tough as you say to get the handle off

Need to remove the clip that holds the lock in place. Pulls down if I remember.
