Default Replace A/C compressor pulley bearing

I was just wondering if its possible/any information on replacing the bearing for the pulley, currently my s2000 makes a grinding/squealing when the A/C is off and stops when the a/c is on, i went and got a shorter belt to bypass the pulley currently but id like to get it fixed before summer. Thank you!

You can surely change just the bearing. Can be done while the compressor is installed.

Hey Billman, i was wondering if you had any links to resources for doing this, or just replacing the whole a/c compressor, the rest of the system should be perfectly fine. But my a/c clutch removal kit doesnt seem to have anything to get it off, and im kinda wondering if the heat from the bearing failure may have welded it stuck.

seemed pretty tight to me to be able to hit it with a mallet, let alone even get one in there without taking it off, but ill try some different sizes tomorrow. But if its too much of a pain ill probably just replace the whole thing haha

Try a 3 jaw puller similar to what is used to remove a steering wheel or pressed in outer bearing.
