replaced hub need HELP!

Thumbs down replaced hub need HELP!

im tryin to hook my hub back up but the two castle nuts im putting back on are free turning in the boots any help how to keep them from spinning while i tighten?

You need to use an impact wrench...or at least that is the only way I've been able to get them to tighten enough to torque.

You can pick up an electric impact from Harbor Freight or Great Northern for under $100 (get the one with the most torque). If you don't have an air compressor, it will be the best tool investment you will make. It suddenly makes every job with tough bolts a breeze.

thanks im broke right now so i guess the s will have to sit for another week is there any other cheaper options besides that?

Post up in your local s2ki forum. See if anyone has an electric impact or a pneumatic one + portable air compressor/tank. They might be willing to come over and zip it on for you.

Use a prybar to hold tension on the ball joint, then tighten the nut.

theres not really anything to hold the boot is coverin the bolt up and there isnt any space left to hold it still its drivin me crazy

You can use a prybar on the control arm.

Are you working on the front or rear suspension?

its the front i snapped a couple wheel studs went through the whole process of replacing everything went smoothly and now i cant get the damn thing back on lol im gonna have a friend bring an air wrench over tommorow and see if that will work i still curse the guy who over torqued my lug nuts in the first place.

next is the misfire codes i keep getting after changing the spark plugs and cleaning the injectors when it rains it pours.

A long prybar on the upper control arm will work. Hook one end of the arm and pull down. Loosen the upper control arm bolts and it will be easier to pull down.
