Default Replaced steering rack

I recently replaced my steering rack and now it feels like i don't have any power steering. The steering wheel doesn't even return to center so i have to do everything manually. I tried to do the memorizing the torque sensor neutral position with the paperclip trick but it didn't work. The EPS light doesn't go off as it suppose to when going through the procedures. i have the MY02, but i could only get my hands on a 04 one at the time. People said it shouldn't be a problem.

so now do i have to take it to some place and use a pgm tester? or that wouldn't even work at all.

If the ap2 steering rack is faulty then is it possible to remove the steering rack rod from the unit, would it fit into my old ap1 steering rack unit?

Hi, i have the exactley same problem, i replaced my steering rack today due to power steering issues but it doesnt seem to have sorted it. Still eps light is on and no power steering. Im going to try the memorizing the torque sensor thingy tommorow but if that fails im going to replace the eps control unit. I tink u should try this too.

Just tried to memorize the torque tingy by shorting out pin 4 and 9 with a paperclip but it didnt work for me too. This is really annoying me as my steering has a mind of its own and doesnt even come back to the centre after making a turn.
