Replacing the air filter
So my air filter is pretty dirty and im thinking of replacing it but I have a few questions. First of all should I buy OEM or get a K&N filter? How is the K&N filter superior? Im planning on getting a intake(probably K&N) within a couple months or a year, so is it worth buying a K&N filter now or should I just wait for the intake?
Yea after thinking about it im gonna go with OEM, even if the K&N does do something for performance it would be more worth it to save up for the intake.
K&N drop-in filters are a great choice for someone retaining the stock intake just because they are reusable, saving money in the long run. You will not pick up any power to speak of, but the intake sound did get slightly louder for me (very, very subtle though).
As you've already come to determine, it's not worthwhile if you're going to replace your entire intake soon anyways.

OEM filter high quality. It comes pre-oiled. You change it at 25K intervals. Costs $25 online. So saving money is not really an issue. The air filter is already oversized for our little engines, so restricting airflow is not an issue as well. Honda did a great job with the whole car, I'm not going to second guess their decision.

Airflow as stated above. Every option has pros and cons though. With air filters you're balancing airflow and filtration.
Worth is always subjective but I'd say no. Is it worth it to you to pay the premium for one when you'll ditch it so soon? Your call to make.
Versus a $40 K&N? 2 stock filters (50K) is already $10 more than a K&N.
I've used K&N on my motorcycles and even when oiled they seem very porous to me. That does allow more air flow with less pressure drop but also lets in a lot more small sized dirt and debris. I'd stick with the OEM air filter and change at factory intervals. Just conservative me.
