Default Replacing cams and caps

hi guys just wondering when replacing the cams and caps torquing them down correctly anything else i should check or do besides making sure the timing is correct? i just replaced the intake cam due to lack of oil circulation and it seized, then it happened again after driving it a couple of days, had problems starting having to jump it when it read a good battery... thanks

I'd check your oil passages...some of them are very tiny.

If the cam caps are not a 10 piece matched set (upper and lower), you will continue to destroy them.

the first caps yes, and 2nd yes.... some debris from the stupid spark plug not being tight enough one #1 piston got into the valve train (plastic shavings) and i think plugged up the cams oil flow the first time... now redid all the cams and caps and still seized like the alluminum from the caps melted into the cams the first time wich made me think i was lack of oil or plugged up somewhere...

I would think if a cam seized up two times and stopped spinning while the motor was still going your going to tear up more than just cam caps. As well as the cause just chewing up more cams.

If the caps are all from the same head it is fine to use them in a different head. This is from what i understood reading others talking about the issue.

Cam holders need to be matching uppers AND lowers, otherwise you will most likely have issues. They are all different, you cannot just take a set of caps and use them on a different set of lowers. It doesn't work that way. Honda machines the cam holders bolted together as a set. Not one set is alike.
