Default replacing drive shaft

Im going to replace the propeller shaft but have been doing some reading on the site that the 6mm hex box are not easy to deal with. Has anyone figured out a good to remove these. I dont have very many resources such as dremel or heat.

do not use progressive pressure. Use a shock action to remove the bolts. i would put a little hand pressure on the bolt, then take a rubber mallet and hit the end of the wrench.

does anyone know if a 6mm allen socket and ratchet set up will work? enough clearance? Or would it be better to get a allen key and put a 6mm box end on it?

I found that that Sears sells long allen wrenches that work much better than a hex socket. There isn't much clearance for the ratchet making it insert at an angle. The keys I bought are about ~7" long. For the install a 3/8" drive beam-type torque wrench works pretty well with the allen socket.

Does the driveshaft have to be aligned when you put it on? or can it go in any way (as long as the front and back are in the correct directions)

I ask because on the clutch install DIY, it mentions for you to mark the driveshaft position (in relation to the tranny and diff), what happens when you put on a new driveshaft (not from your car)

There are marks you still match up. IIRC match the white marks for new driveshafts.

It's just paint pen marks. It should be there unless they cleaned it off.
