Default Replacing HID Bulbs

A friend recently got some new bulbs for his S and we are thinking of doing the swap ourselves. We can do all the work without trouble, but when it comes to removing the bulb itself there is a special TORX(sp?) bit that has the star shape, but requires a hole in the center of the tool. They didn't have this at my local store. How do I get one?

Thanks.

Here are a few places you can look into:

Craftsman: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?...0&bidsite=CRAFT

Griot's: http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?L1..._2050&SKU=49138

you can use pliers to get it out, its not on tight, but if you want to use a torx bit, you'll need to use a tamper proof torx bit. go with the craftsman set above

It's easy. I went to Lowes and they had the set there too. I'm happy with my new HIDs.

Torx screws are extremely common in computers. (Size T15, at least.) Any place that sells computer related stuff should have torx drivers.

you have to use tamper proof torx bits which aren't as common

Ah, yep, I missed the part about the hole in the center. Hmm.

We were able to get a set of the tamper proof bits. Got it all sorted awhile back and the lights look great.
