Default Replacing rear end links

Can both end links be replaced with the rear on jack stands and the suspension at full droop, or do the wheels need to be down on the ground. Thanks.

You can replace them with the car in the air. But don't fully tighten and torque without compressing the suspension...either wheels fully on the ground or by using a jack to lift the suspension.

Thanks. I was concerned that with the rear jacked, the end links would be "loaded". I think I know what to do now.
