replacing spark plugs

Default replacing spark plugs

alright so i was going to replace my spark plugs today. so ill just get to it i went to remove the first bolt holding on the cover and the bolt snapped in half. half the bolt is still on and the cover isnt loose but i need to get it off any ideas??

holding the valve cover on? or the spark plug cover?

its holding the spark plug cover. i obviously know i need a new bolt. but how can i get this one out?

how is the bolt snapped in half but you still can't get the spark plug cover off? if the head is snapped off just loosen the rest and take it off. change the spark plugs and leave the cover off. all it is, is one more step between you and your spark plugs every time you check/service them.

whenever you loosten those bolts, it is a good idea to use a socket wrench with a allen socket and give it a good wack to start it. They tend to strip or break if they have not been removed for a while. The wack works better to break them loose.

i was useing a socket wrench with a allen socket i so idk maybe its just my luck
