Resurfacing Rotor
Odd. I sold my '93 Civic Si (~130k mi) with the original, never resurfaced, rotors. They did pulse a bit, but I never went easy on them either. Considering the effort the shop manual showed it took to get them off (disassemble the hubs first?), I was thankful.
$65 a rotor? Wow!
I just waltzed down to a local Honda dealer here and I got quoted:
Sets of two:
S2000 rear rotor set $195!
S2000 front rotor set $339!!!!!
Over $500 for all 4!@!!
Of course, he also said S-02 Potenza PPs were around $300 apiece...........
I have a bit of rotor warp/vibration on heavy braking but I really can't tell which rotor(s) the problem lies in. Is there a foolproof method of checking rotor life/flatness?
