Default Reusing an Amsoil EA oil filter

I changed my oil and filter this time last year with Amsoil 0W-30 premium synthetic and their EA oil filter. The oil is supposedly good for one year, but the filter is advertised as being good for 25,000 miles.

I don't plan on using the filter for 25,000 miles, but I've only put 6500 miles on my car this year. Surely it would be ok if I reused the filter for another year, right? I was planning on just draining the oil, refilling with fresh oil, then calling it a day.

Thoughts?

Just did my annual oil change with amsoil 0w-30 and their filter. I usually replace the filter when I change the oil. Usually put about 6k a year. I almost re-used the filter. Next time Ill re use it. Just make sure it's still on there tight.

Guys, please don't derail this thread. I'm not even talking about the OEM filter.

I know that oil "expires" somewhat after being in your car for a certain period of time, but AFAIK an oil filter does not. I would guess that a filter that was rated for 25k miles would be good for several oil changes. I didn't see anything about this on Amsoil's website. I did a google search and basically came up with a bunch of hearsay which amounts to a "heck if I know" answer. I thought someone here might have a more specific, technical reason why you could or could not reuse a filter like this.

17$ here.but I agree cheap piece of mind.my point was that oem is engineered to last and the ams is also engineered to these standards so it has some relativity.

Amsoil oil and filters are engineered well beyond our OEM standards. I have no problem swapping out the oil filter ( I actually bought a new one with the oil), but if the filter has 75% of its useful life left, I'd rather not just throw it away.
