Angry RICKS DIFFUSERS

So i was looking into Ricks diffusers to make my stock usdm lights look like jdm headlights. I went onto ricks actual website and it says that they do the install for a 200$ labor charge or something like that.

See i like to be able to blame someone else if something goes wrong But they say that they only guarantee that the lights will not let water leak into them for 3 months.

Now i dont wanna pay almost 300$ or whatever they go for, for some to ruin my lights

HAS ANYONE SENT THEIR LIGHTS IN to have this done to them??????
DID they end up leaking? how long have you had them?

i understand some type of baking and melting of glue has to be done.

What about hill Billy rigging at home without sending them in?

LAST LONG????

Thanks to my S2k FAMILIA

From what I understand, that is what most people do. It really isn't that hard...I've seen it done. Just make sure everything is sealed properly.

I'm just going with AP2 headlights cause I'm not fond of the clear diffusers, and I've seen the smoked ones have a shade of purple and it looks bad. But I've never heard of any problems with Rick's. I'm sure their work is top notch. I've met him personally and he takes alot of pride in his products. I'm sure someone could just help you do them at home though

I've met the guy that does the installs, and he's done a large number of them. The whole gang at Rick's take pride in the quality of their products and workmanship. I'd trust them to do anything that I didn't want to do myself.

It's up to you whether you want to do it yourself or hire it done.

I had someone else do mine, actually had diffuser removed and housing painted Suzuka to match car, but i heard its easy too but just couldn't grasp baking my headlights, so left it in someone elses hands!

This is pretty fun to do and not that hard. Just follow in instructions from Ricks. I removed everything before cooking. The only thing I would change is remove the lights from the wheel wells instead of removing the bumper but that's just me. It was so much fun I did the taillights.

Good luck
