Roof leak from seal split HELP
Hi guys,
I have a leak that's coming from the split where you look at the side of the car, passenger window then at the top the split in the seal.
However the water is coming out of the rail not the actual seal it's self.
So far i've:
Changed strikers
Greased all my seals for 4 days running
I can't see how the water gets into the rail as there is no direct way for it, the rail is hollow and is a "U" shape with a hole at the top running all the way along, This fills with water and as soon as i accelerate the water streams out, once the water has come out i could be driving for 3 - 4 hours in terrential rain and it won't leak at all. It only fills up when the car is sat in the rain.
Any help would be greatly appriciated, my roof is also in V good condition with no rips or tears etc.
Cheers

Your discription is a bit confusing. Maybe a pic would help. The only thing I can think of is that you have a tear and water drips via the rail. I would fold the top half way and inspect it to see if there are any small tears that may not have been noticeable when the top is up. Good luck in finding the source of the leak.

I have had this problem before, but I never could fix it. Nor did it happen every time. It was weird. Im sure it has to do with the way the car is parked when it rains, aka front end heading uphill or down hill.
Lower the top and look at the corner of the windshield seal for a slit. There is a piece of rubber wedged in there to help seal the end. Pull it out and reset it, or wrap a little tape around it and push it back. The rear-most seal also can slide in it's rail fore and aft. Make sure it's pushed forward into the front seal.
