Rotating the tires, need help?
So yesterday i noticed my front driver's side tire is out of alignment (bad) and it's messing up the inside of it.. the passenger side is good (has around 50% thread left). and the both rear tires have around 80% thread.
as of right now i'm planning to get some wheels but it's not going to be anytime soon (probably in couple of month) if i can find a better job soon... and i don't want to spend money on tires that i'm going to throw away or sell them cheap with the stock wheels...I know the rear tires are wider, i was wondering maybe i should rotate them to the front. I don't drive that much (around 300 Miles a month) I would have bought new tires but all the money i make right now goes to the school and the car payment...
don't know what to do....??
thanks in advance for any help
sorry for the poor pics, i didn't have any coins on me
...the two left ones are the front and right ones are rear...

can't rotate. the back wheels won't fit the front hubs without machine work.
go get an alignment to stop your wear problem in the mean time.

You cannot and SHOULD NOT mount tires in the front and skinnier tires in the back. It would be very tail-happy.
What you can do (for nominal cost) is have each tire flipped on the same wheel.
So inside goes to outside. A local tire shop should be able to do it for pretty cheap.

^^ That could be a little confusing.
You swap the tires to the opposite wheel. So front right tire becomes front left tire, front left tire becomes front right tire, etc.

You can flip a tire on a wheel. Or you can flip a tire across wheels.
It's also possible to swap tires on wheels and have a clueless tire shop employee keep outer side on the outer side... making the swap worthless.
Basically, as long as the inside shoulders get flipped to become the outside shoulders, you can get more life out of the tires.
I'm due to do this with Winter tires this season.
