Rough idle when its cold?

Does anyone else have rough idle when it's cold? Say its 29 degrees out and you start the car and go for a drive rightaway and the engine will struggle a bit when you come to a stop. (Rpms will go down below 1000 and almost stall) but once the engine is warm and I've been driving a bit rpms will go down to 800-1000 at stops.

That is happening to me, I did clean the IACV but not take it fully apart to clean it I just took the unit off and sprayed some carb cleaning and used Q tips. What else could it be?

You have a tendency to ignore solid, meaningful advice on this forum...

If you just sprayed your IACV, that's not the 100% correct way of cleaning it, so you cannot rule out the IACV yet.

Follow the instructions to [carefully] take it apart -- pay attention to the Billman250 instructions and see the photos:

I wish I had the special socket needed to fully assemble the IACV for a deep clean can I find one at a hardware store or would I need to order online?

DeWalt Security bit set has the T20 bit.

I don't really wanna buy an entire set for one socket. Do they sell them individually?

Probably not, you'll have to buy a set, but you can get them at any hardware store, or general auto parts store for ~$10, and then you'll have them. Old cars with worn O2 sensors benefit tremendously with a new one where idle smoothness is concerned. O2 sensors last ~100k miles.

I have the same problem, but with opposite engine temperature conditions. I also notice trouble starting the car for the first time of the day during cold weather, sputters to life/requires throttle to be pressed and hold so the car doesn't die during start up. I've ordered this socket: TTXR20TPE https://store.snapon.com/TORX-Plus-1...r-P643639.aspx It's a 5 lobe TORX.

I will follow this video:
