Default Rounded the differential fill plug...

I was also very stupid and drained it first.

What should my next steps be? Bring it to a shop for them to try and get it out? Vice grips?

Try to hand file the rounded edges down. Get a correct sized 6 point wrench and break loose.

Try vice grips. Maybe cut a slit in the center of the bolt and use a flat head screwdriver to remove the bolt. Try grip tite

lol a flat head screwdriver won't work on that bolt.

Try a 6 sided box wrench if you can find one.

Try hammering a wrench one size smaller onto the bolt?

Grind down each corner down to make your own size. Then use ONLY 6 point socket to remove it.

Once you get it off get a Fumoto Valve. Never round another bolt, never drop it in the pan of oil, never get oil on your hands, change oil with just the hood open.

I'm guessing that you rounded off the fill bolt by using a 24mm wrench correct ?, if so try a proper sized 23mm wrench you might be able to get it to budge if it can still be saved. Then order a new fill bolt.

A large sized vice grip should work if you give it a good snap by hitting it bluntly with a hammer.

FYI he stripped his differential drain bolt not the motor oil drain bolt. I wouldn't recommend the Fumoto for the diff. Aside from the clearance issues, the bottom of the diff is also used as a jacking point.

Get a vise on there and knock it loose. Space is very tight, so it's going to be a pita.

Also google, twist sockets. They're made to remove rounded bolts.
