Default rpm issue

I originally took my 2001 s2000 in for a tune-up. Check engine light came on following the tune-up. Honda said valves were bent and that I needed valve job. Discovered it was only the valve guides that were worn. Valves were not bent. replaced valve guides and now engine will not rev above 3000 rpm's. Limiter? kicks in. Sensors working. Get a code that indicates some electrical issue. Just changed out the battery as it was not maintaining a charge. Only 47,000 miles on the computer. Anyone have any ideas?

"replaced valve guides and now engine will not rev above 3000 rpm's."

You obviously did something wrong when you replaced the guides.
