What is the temp range? Is it high temp silicone?

You shouldn't ever see temps above 250, so if it is rated for at least that then you should be fine.

 

'black rubber tube' ---make sure its a heater hose...those will handle the coolant fine, since thats what its designed for.

heater hoses are pretty cheap...do they have the nylon(?) threads running through them?

i dont think a fuel hose is good enough... correct me if im wrong someone..
