Default Running Rich, Stalling, Limp mode

Hi all,

Finally after a month of waiting, my f22c swap was finished last Friday. The motor has 56k miles on it and running on MY02 ECU still. I also put in new plugs, oil, serp belt, oem clutch disc and bearings, ACT HD PP, ACT Prolite FW, and AEM UEGO. Car ran perfectly fine for 3 days... until I put in new Chevron gas and Techron fuel injection cleaner in last night. I drove it home perfectly fine, then this morning the car would start and has a very rough idle and finally dies. It's running extremely rich with a strong smell of fuel. The UEGO reads about 10-12 AFR. The car is also throwing a CEL (NOT flashing) and currently in limp mode.

I only have the car for about 3 months, and it doesn't seem to seize giving me headaches.

After some researching (Thank God for s2ki), I've narrowed down to a few things that could cause this issue:
Bad Throttle Position Sensor
Bad Map Sensor
Bad O2 Sensor
Leaky Injectors
Dirty IAC Valve

I will be doing the map whack and ensure the o-ring underneath it is in place and well lubed, also will be cleaning the IAC Valve this afternoon. However, in case neither of those would cure the problem, could you guys shoot me some inputs? I am now a super broke college student after dumping money on the swap, so I can't afford replacing all those sensors ($$) without knowing for sure it would cure this issue.

Thanks in advance!
-Kun

do you have any way of datalogging? or have a obd2 reader that can monitor the sensor. Do you have an CEL?

opps ya i saw it after i posted...if you have a CEL, why not include it in the post? If you don't know what the CEL is, then go get the code read and post up.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. The car can't even make it out of my driveway now. As soon as I let off the gas = stall. Plus a very strong smell of gas. So I can't make it to autozone to pull the code :/

Cleaned the IAC Valve, did the map whack, lubed up o-ring under the map, reset the ecu, no luck. Car still runs like crap, in limp mode, and throwing a cel. Once I get it up to like 1000+ rpm it seems to be steady tho.

I love my car but out of 3 months of ownership, half of that was spent at the shop..

Step 1, scan for code. nothing left to do till you do that first...except waste money and time of course

Thanks for the replies! I went ahead and bought the scanner, it'd be useful in the future anyways.

So the code reads P0107, bad MAP sensor. I had the old sensor from the old F20c so I swapped that on, everything is fine so far. Phew! It's weird that the sensor went bad right after I put the injector cleaner in. It runs a little different than the 04 MAP sensor IMO. Wondering if there is any differences in the two sensors? The part numbers are the same for the two model year (02 and 04).

Thanks again!
