Default S/C boost vent question

I have a vortech sc, and I want to run the 10 psi pully, but I do not want to run 10 psi up top. I'm concerned with cylinder pressure at that level with stock compression.

What I was wondering is if there is a device that will allow you to run a higher boost pully, but will also limit the amount of boost. Like a bleeder valve. Set it at 8 psi, so at ~7500 rpm I'll be running 8 psi all the way to 9k.

I have my sc apart and the head unit is in california getting fixed so I figure this is a good time to ask.

there's already thread on this...
the answer to that is a wastegate..
except i believe wastegates are only for turbos

here's a thought would it be possible to run a small pulley and get the low and mid range a lil bit of the top by having a rev limiter placed maybe at 8000?

wastegate is something much different. A wastegate does not bleed anything out of the intake system. It bleeds exhaust to control the spool speed of the turbo.

What I am looking for is something like a hight flow pressure release valve that can be set at 0.5 bar so the system cannot see more than that amount of boost. Once it reaches that level it would whilstle kind of like the BOV does under partial throttle.

Anyone know if changing the spring in the BOV would accomplish this?

there is a pop off valve that should be able to do this
I found one before but could not recall if it's blitz or greddy. Do a goole search and you may find it.

Unfortunately you will be relying on a mechanical spring to control your boost. This prob won't hold a steady desired boost and you will risk engine damage with overboost etc.

Don't take short cut or you will risk engine damage .
