I'd tow it home, change the oil- how much water is in the oil? remove the spark plugs- how much water is in the cylinders- don't try to start it- it may have water in one of the cylinders- that's bad and will hydrolock the engine if it hasn't already.

glad you can swim

Jesus man! Glad you are ok, that was a pretty nasty one!

Yeah echoing what's been said, don't try and turn over the engine until you completely drain the oil and make sure there is no water in the cylinders. You probably should remove the pan to insure this. Pull the plugs as well. See if they are wet.

If this isn't a troll post, wow! So many ways that could have ended really badly for you (killing you and not just your motor).

It all comes down to if engine ran while intake was submerged. If that happened, it probably hydrolocked and engine destroyed. If it didn't happen, chances are engine only has minor damage.

But you must, MUST! Follow the advice given, remove plugs before you even try to crank motor over, even by hand, and drain oil and change it.
