Did you use the new rubber gaskets, or did you just have them in case one got damaged?
I bought them just in case. I learned that lesson in the Navy. Always have the software before you rip something apart. While I was there, I just replaced them all. That's just me though.

Right Now? I just woke up!
How about Saturday morning, my place, 03:00 AM. I know it's early. It's the only spare time I have in the next three weeks.

If you are serious, we can figure something out. PM me as needed.

I tried to follow the directions in the book (page 6-12, step 7.). It states "Rotate the crankshaft 180 deg clockwise (camshaft gears turn 90 deg.)"

gernby, I was doing some hardcore commutes. Probably 35,000 miles worth. Most was interstate, 5, 405 and highway 167. umm, yes, for the most part STRAIT. I don't have those commutes any longer. I have only just begun to turn the wheel.
BTW, I put 30,000 miles on the first set of rears. I still have much tread in this second set. I'm pushing 19,338 miles on those

I Love this car.

Turb,

Ya, You go look in the book. Then look at the pic sequencs and tell me I have to eat these words.

Edit; I was about to bust open my valve cover and do a verification to sort things out. Something came up and I was able to bust open someone else

A huge thanks to PWRMKR for his help in adjusting the valves on my car! The engine's smooth as butter. I adjusted the valves a month ago and found several out of spec on my '02. Did it for the first time, but I wasn't too confident I got everything "perfect."

Turns out one was off this time around by just a bit; I won't be messing with these again for while.

Awesome garage ya got there, man.
