Default S2000 Vibration Under Acceleration and Deceleration

Hey guys, I'll give you a quick update about my scenario.

Recently I noticed aa vibration under acceleration between 50-70mph. The vibration also occurs on deceleration but it isn't has severe. The vibration goes away while coasting or accelerating lightly (under 10% throttle).

I've read it can be the axle CV boots. So I went ahead and replaced both axles with OEM remanufactured axles from autozone.

I did not see any change in the vibration issue I was previously having. The car does have axle spacers and I have also recently removed them to see if anything changes and again, no changes what so ever.

Was wondering what else could it possibly be? Are the axles I bought complete trash? Is this a differential/drive shaft issue?

Thanks,

Any Honda axle purchased from a traditional auto parts store is likely garbage. I have gone through a few ( Orileys, advanced, Vatozone) in various honda chassis and always have to shell out for genuine because of issues. That said your problem may not be the axles so take that into consideration....

Good luck

Depending on their rebuild procedure (whoever supplied the reman flyshafts), they may not have replaced or swapped the axle cups which will leave you with the same problem as before. You should pull them off and inspect the insides if there's nothing obvious (destroyed diff bushings or unusual tire wear).

These symptoms sound just like symptoms for worn inner CV buckets. I personally have no experience with aftermarket axles but when I had the same issue as you I swapped CV buckets and my problem was gone. Do you still have your OEM axles? If so check out the axle bucket swap DIY. Where are you located?

I had blown diff mounts for 30k+ miles with no noticeable vibration (I didn't even notice they were blown until I took a look at them).

I thought if you have shakes under decelerating then that rules out buckets ..no?

I don't completely remember when I had them. I vaguely remember having light vibration at high RPM on decel. You may be right.

Located in South Florida. I'll take a look at the inner cups when I remove the axles again. Just seemed odd that the amount of vibration didn't change when swapping the axles.

I did notice recently that my motor mounts are completely blown.

you can't swap the axels .. They are different lengths .. Only swap the buckets ..
