2003 S2000, 101k miles, mechanically stock.

Just started happening today; doesn't do it when the car is cold, but gets intermittently worse as time goes on. Car will sometimes hang at 2k rom when coasting, and the. Drop to about 400rpm and just die ( :40s into video).

IAC cleaning?
PCV valve?
MAP?

Other ideas?

Don't coast. Leave the clutch up as long as possible. Downshift as you slow down and when you're in second or first, wait till rpm is well below idle before pushing the clutch down to stop.

 

take the IAC valve apart, clean it, then do the relearn idle procedure

 

take some break cleaner to that IAC and check your throttle cable

 

Map whack and ecu relearn.
Theres diy on the site for both procedures

 

Cleaned IAC, did MAP Whack, and reset ECU. Fixed the problem and car idles smoother now than ever. Thanks guys
