its been very hot here in omaha the last couple days and for some reason my car will not start until the sun goes down and the temp cools off. any ideas? is my car nocturnal all of the sudden? i can hear the fuel pump kick on. the starter's turning it just wont kick over.

is the engine cranking at all? does it turn over? i dont understand your last sentence. "kick over"? is the starter spinning the engine or is it just freewheeling?

first thing that pops into my head due to your heat is the PGM FI main relay overheating.

If the starter is turning, then it IS "kicking over". Or do you really mean the engine is not being turned by the starter motor? Or do you mean it IS being turned but just not "firing up"?

Anytime an engine will turn but not fire, you need to look at fuel, ignition and air.
Fuel - since it's hot, you may have a vapor lock. You may also have a bad fuel pump. When you key the ignition to ON, do you initially hear the fuel pump spool up? This should happen the first couple of seconds after you key it ON.
Ignition - this would involve getting spark from the plugs and getting it at the right time (timing). You'd have to take one out and ground it and crank the engine and watch for spark.
Air - is enough air going in and coming out. How's the air filter look? Did someone plug your exhaust tips?

ok first off when the temp outside cools down the car runs fine. fuel pump works, spark is fine, air filter fine.
i have the comptech supercharger on it. i dont really know if that would make any difference since it runs fine early and late in the day just not when its sizzlin hot out.

confused yet, i am

You chose now to tell us this little tidbit?
Before I type another suggestion, what else is there about your car you haven't told us?
