The timing might be off.

How long was it sitting while it was waiting for a new head? If I go so long without mine I tend not to function properly.. same logic? Could be bad gas if it was sitting for a while. Or like he said the timing is probably off.

Timing has been double checked and it's spot on, was only without the head for 2 days so not that it's been stood for long, Is there a fuse or something for the loom to the coil packs?

Does the s2000 use a trigger wheel or something for spark? If so is the sensor for that connected? I'm still learning about the motor in these cars.

Is your immobilizer turning off when you put the key in the ignition? Hell it just happened to me! Luckily the ECU "remembered" it's keys after 24 hours of being plugged in.
