Default S2K ride height

Measured my ride height yesterday night and I noticed that my drivers front sits 1/4" lower measured from floor to fender lip. Is this a normal variation in ride height? I want to lower it but if I have a variance now, will I when I get done. I plan on using H&R springs. [

Have you checked for spacers?

Looked and felt for spacers and I dont think any are there. Could it just be normal variance in production?

Could be but that seems excessive. Are you sure you are parked on a level patch? If the rear is in a hole it will show up in the front too.

BTW, mine differs by about a 1/16th.

When stock mine varied 5/16 inch side to side and none of the four corners measured the same (the way to measure is from the lower lip of the wheel to the body.. the stock specs have the rear slightly higher). I suspected that my first 2800 miles running spacers in some of the wheels contributed but cannot explain it and never was able to have a constructive conversation with AHM over the issue.

When I swapped to the Koni dampers I had the same problem but it had a bigger impact because I was an inch lower. I recently added Comptech springs/perches to get the adjustment I need. My first step was to get the measurements I wanted and it is truly amazing how much adjustment I had to make to get the car level. My next step will be to corner balance and then I will be able to more accurately report.

Since my left front fender was replaced after an accident, I may not be able to fully trust the measurement from rim to fender edge. I'll just get the car corner weighted and see how things turn out height wise.

An article about corner weighting states: "

Interesting. I measured my car just now and the situation is exactly like yours. I moved the car back and forth a few times to make sure it's not the gound, but got the same measurements each time.

Time to get those coilovers.

Would someone mind measuring the front vs the back? From the floor to the fender lip? I would like to know what the difference is between the 2. Mine is lowered already, so I really can't do it. Thanks!

The stock specifications from ground to fender lip are 26.4 front and 26.6 rear. I use the Mugen recommended technique when measuring/comparing which is from the bottom of the wheel edge to the fender lip which eliminates ground/tire variations.
