Default S2K Wont Start!

I need some Emergency Help. As the Days go by i am gettin more frustrated not being able to drive my S. I'd really appreciate all the help i can get.

I bought an s2000 from an Online Auction. I changed he oil and filter (OEM Filter and Recommended oil. I drove the car for a few hours and it developed a ticking sound. Sounded like the head to me. I drove it to THe dealership and have them diagnose the problem. They told me i needed a new engine. I doubt that i needed a new engine ($7,500.00 parts and labor). Another mechanic looked at it and told me the cams and rocker arms were bad. Could have been from a wrong filter or a oil that wasnt recommended. So i towed it to my house. I purchased a head from a salvage yard and had a mechanic flush the engine and installed the cams and rocker arms. The engine was now in tact. When i tried to crank the engine it wouldnt start. It would try to start but wouldnt at all. Everything seems to be in place. The mechanic did a compression test and everything was fine. All the relays and fuses were checked. Fuel is going to the engine. The coils arent firing. So i am assuming ithe plugs aren't getting any power to turn over the engine.

Could it be that Honda Disconnected something to prevent the car from starting?
I drove it to the dealership. So now that the engine is back to its original state the only problem that could have existed was the ticking sound. (worst case). Anyone out there knows what might have happened?

Anyone experienced a similar situation?

Any help at all will get my hopes up. I really need to get it back on the road.

Thanx for reading.
Anthony.

You need to recheck the timing marks on the cam gears. It will not start if ther cams are out of time.

Just curious where are you located?

I had a recenty phone call from a "mechanic" that decided flush an engine with diesel fuel. The engine was complete garbage when he was done.

was the ground strap connected at the back of the head? this is usually missed a lot when hooking everything back up, and will cause it to not start.

I am in Miami.

I just moved here from the Islands.

I dont know much around here.

Anyone knows where i can find a good mechanic or shop here in South Florida?

I dont want to take it to the dealer at all. Had a few bad experiences there.

One more thing. If the timing marks are not set correctly and the engine starts would it cause any damages? Thats if there is a possibility of it starting?

Thanx fr the help.

This is most likely your cause. I know this from experience.

you would bend the valves. if the timing was off it would of not passed a compression check, though.

As stated....one tooth off will yeild in a no-start.

You will still have compression.

Did you check this? My guess is it's not hooked up.

If there is no spark it could be something to do with the two cam sensor pickups at the back of the head, and the chopper plates that trigger the sensors. they could be missing, or the cam timing markers not lined up correctly.
