s2k wont turn over and start

Default s2k wont turn over and start

woke up this morny and my s2 wouldnt start nothing,thought could it be the battery tryed that it wasnt,it seems theres no spark there i can hear the trottle body openin up wen u press the start button but there no crank could it be the starter has anybody got an idea i need help.

If there's no crank then it's the battery or starter most likely. Could be the ignition switch. Could be the clutch interlock too (the thing that won't let it crank if the clutch isn't pressed in). Could be lots of things. I'd check the fuses.

If it worked yesterday and won't work today. It's probably the battery.

Spark has nothing to do with cranking. Throttle body opening up? I don't have a clue what that means.

wen u press the start button u can hear the relay workin so its not the switch thats wat i meant i wasnt an a grade student so sorry for me not makin sence lol

Sounds more and more like the battery. Make sure the cables are tight on the terminals. 5 Years is about all you can expect from a battery. Any more and it's on borrowed time.

but it all the lights work and it doesnt drain the lights wen i try start it

Longshot maybe. Put the car into 6th gear and hand push it till the engine turns once or twice. This will also turn the starter gear if it's stuck. Worth a try before you do anything else.

Yeah sam thing happened to me, I had a optima yellow top piece of shiat. but you could hear the relay under the dash but still there was power. I garuntee that it is your battery.

Starter needs 100 amps to turn over, lights take about 10-12. So, lights can still work even if your battery is bad.
