...to paint the condenser thingy in front of the radiator? I don't like how visible it is. I want to hit it with a flat black or maybe that undercoating in a can stuff. Or is their a "special" kind of paint i would need?

No, problem. Many have been painted and you will be surprised how many things hit it and slowly wear off the paint.

Just don't remove it to paint it. If you do you have to recharge your AC system. And if you leave the piping open for a while it will get condensation inside which will eventually stuff your compressor.

If the paint is too thick, it could interfere with heat exchange with the air, since paint has some insulating effect - a light coating should be fine - most radiators are sprayed, and the condenser is a radiator of a different sort.

This is the receiver/dryer, the cylindrical thing in front of the condenser. It and the associated lines can be painted without problem and the thickness of paint makes no difference. Don't paint the condenser (radiator looking thing) or take anything apart to do it.

Didn't he ask about a "condenser thingy"? Is that special S2000 code for the receiver/dryer? I agree with you that the R/D is irrelevant to painting though.
