I agree with this thought. It seems as though the people who are going turbo these days are making custom kits. This is possibly the result of companies like Spool and Speedcraft not being around anymore (for different reasons). It seems people are very skeptical of the new kit(s) on the market and want to wait and see how they perform over the long haul, for good reason.

It took me over a year and more money than I would like to mention to get my turbo running well. However, I couldn't be happier with it now that it has been properly tuned.

Could be that not everyone posts their issues too.

I personally opted for turbo w/ AEM EMS, went with a conservative tune, and have not experienced any issues yet, BUT I've only run through about 10 tanks of gas since going FI. I can say that my plugs look great and the oil is still an amber color, and hasn't needed any topping off.

Time will tell. There are probably fewer than 5 or 10 people running turbos as long as some of the initial SC folks, and as we all know, there were some failures and lessons learned in the early days that anyone starting on a project today should heed.

there are not many turbo cars, because in most cases its more expensive, harder and more expensive to tune also.

Only the brave souls dare go turbo. and are very nicely rewarded with whp/tq numbers that sc's dream about. j/k

Interesting stuff. Check this out. The parent company I work for is developing what they call the "Super Turbo". I combines both a turbo and supercharger in the same system to give both low end and high end power. The prototyope I saw was in an Audi.

There are people who have already run a supercharged+Turbocharged setup. Purely custom by all means, how reliable it was and how they did it, i have NO idea. I just know its been done before, but never for retail. That would be quite interesting to see how that works.
