Seafoam in crankcase

Seafoam in crankcase
Hey guys so I decided to try the seafoam in the crankcase to quite down the lifters, I did an oil change about a thousand miles ago and just added in maybe 2-3 oz of seafoam, I just got done doing some research and people are saying its bad to drive the car with the seafoam in the crankcase? Should I do an oil change or is it okay if I drive it until my next oil change. I just read on the seafoam bottle that you can add it before or after an oil change so I figured it would be okay.

Probably fine. We haz no lifters in ourses carses. DOHC. Seafoam wont help that problem anyways, atleast in the crankcase. Last time I took my oil pan off (with 100k+ miles) it looks spotless with no sludge what so ever. Cant imagine seafoam helping out at all. Might need to tickle the valve lash some. I suggest using the proper feather or it will be pissed.

Well I ordered some amsoil but it probably wont be here for atleast 4 or 5 days, and I drive about 40 miles a day, so I am gonna have to put around 150 miles on it before I can change the oil, hopefully it will be good!

I see, if this is the first time running it in the crankcase you should be fine. But change the oil as soon as possible.

If I had money I would, I can't imagine it could do much damage, if that was the case I don't think seafoam would recommend putting it in the crankcase before or after an oil change...

I use Seafoam in my cars as we drive short distances daily and it should/is helping with the moisture/condensation in the oil. Have been using it for about 11 years, no issues with any of the cars (Toyota, Infiniti, Hondas). Put some in the gas also to keep the fuel system free of moisture. The stuff is expensive I think, but seems to work for my cars. So don't worry, just follow the label on the bottle to ensure you stay within the recommended amounts to use.
