Default secondary airpump/relay bad.

If it would be better for me to stay stock and still be finacially viable then I'll do that but I would also like to know what my options are for removing it and never dealing with it again? Anything aftermarket that I could do that would still make me CA smog legal?

I'm in the same boat, the only option i've seen so far is to go kpro, you'll be obd2 compliant and you'll have no need for the air pump. Unfortunately, it'll be around 2k roughly

I would just replace the bad pump/relay and get it done with. The only way to get rid of the airpump without a CEL is with an EMS. Not worth it at all, so just replace it. Its not hard at all to replace the pump, getting the front bumper off is the hardest part. Good luck!

^ and where is this airpump delete kit? Challege came out with one, and was a huge can of failure for our cars. It didnt get rid of the CEL so they refunded everyones money and aborted that idea b/c they couldnt fix it.

Just post in the WTB section man. Alot of people should have one to sell you. They range anywhere from $60-$100. Some people ask more but you can find one in that price range if you look for a while. Good luck man!

Yes sir. That was the only kit I have ever heard of for the airpump. People have tried to make a fix for it but no luck. The airpump is simple, yet very complicated. Everyone that has tried to fool the ECU without the airpump has failed. Our ECU's are too smart!
