What exactly is the little red light on the center console just before the padded arm rest? I thought it was a security light but it never comes on. I can get it to blink once if I disconnect the battery for a while and reconnect it. If it is a security light/alarm/whatever, how can I get it to work properly? And if it is, shouldn't the car have some type of alarm, shock sensitive or otherwise?

 

There shouldnt be a light there from the factory. It has to be somesort of alarm LED. Try to follow and see where the wires go.

 

AP1s with a dealer installed alarm add an LED to the center console. If the car had an aftermarket alarm, one might have been added there as well. Dealer installed alarm box goes under the driver's seat. Look under there to see if there is a dealer installed Honda alarm. The S2000 does not come with a factory installed alarm.

well then what about the LED on the tach??? its by the odometer...on the right side....

Thanks! There's definitely a box under the seat. Along with a large collection of wires. If it has the alarm, where's the fuse that's possible burnt out? And if that's not it, any other ideas?
