Default Service Manual

I would appreciate some guidance from the pros here on which "Service Manual" or Workshop Manual" to buy to assist me in minor maintenace, repairs, etc. on my 2006. Not looking at heavy duty rebuilds, repairs, etc. Just maintenance and detail on how things work and good illustrated steps and pics on disassembly and reassembly to do service and repairs on various components and assemblies.

I found something described as the Honda Honda 2000 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 Honda S2000 service shop repair manual on line. Is this what I want? Any idea on what these cost? If not this, what else would you all reccommend?

Thanks for your suggestions

That's the manual you want and the price seems to be what's wanted from some other sources I noted. Reprinting a 1,500 page (?) manual is not an easy task. These sometimes appear on Ebay for less. My copy is the 2000-2007 models and cost me about $50 -- but that was 3 or 4 years ago.

Here's a link to the 2003 manual. Select the PDF version in the Download Options on the right side of the screen. This won't exactly cover your 2006 though. I keep a copy of this on my laptop as finding anything in the paper manual for my 2006 takes forever and the searchable PDF gets me close.

The only manual I've seen in PDF form for free is for AP1s. RockAuto sells CD copies with the manuals in PDF format for ~$23.

I've got the CD which covers '00-'07 which I prefer to a paper copy. It's cheaper plus you don't have to store a massive book that you use only a few times a year, just buy the CD and transfer to your computer. It's helpful to be able to CTRL+F and search the entire manual for what you're looking for.

I purchased a Service Manual 2009-2nd Edition, on ebay and backed it up with an Electrical Manual too. Think I paid around $120 for both. Second edition means it is the one that year that contains any updates that were made.

I personally prefer a nice big paper copy I leave open and browse through with screwing around with an iPad or computer. Paper book never has batteries run down. However, when I am working on something I usually have the iPad open along with the manual.
