Default shakiness while accelerating

ok guys i got a? im new to this forum sobare with me please!..

ok i have a 2000 honda s2k and well being honest i ripped the gears out of my diff. so i replaced the diff. after the new rear differential was put into place for some reason my acceleration is not smooth one bit. when you accelerate through any gear there is such a bad vibration in the back its a neuscense. so i decided to put it on the rack! ahh ha! i found the culprit the axles had alot ofplay in them and well one was about done so i didnt drive it anymore. so i replaced both axles left and right. so i was like ok cool now i can get back to driving my S. well i took it out and as soon as i got ont he road the vibration was back. i am so fusterated with working on this car it fusterates me to no end. i love it but it makes me mad. im at the end of solutions. tellme i fixed the rear and the axles have been replaced from another s2000 in a salvage yard that had 20,000 miles on them. i guess the car is still driveable but the vibration is terrible when accelerating especially when u punch the gas. also now since i changed the axles the "ABS" light is now on.. heh! please anyone help me??? thanks for all ur input

What do the tires look like, and are they balanced?

Well, the ABS light is on because when you pulled the knuckle outwards to remove the axle, you broke the wiring internally. Very common if it's not disconnected.

Vibration is usually axles, but gonna be tough to tell in your case.

One thing you can try is swapping the axle inner cv from right to left and vis versa. If that gets rid of the vibration, then it is (was) your inner cv's going. Check the faq...there are some instructions there.

I have the same problem!!!

I think my CV joints are going bad, I'm getting a similar vibration from the rear under acceleration.

Here's a service bulletin regarding this problem:

https://www.s2ki.com/stor/library/TSB/A02-063.pdf

The service bulletin says this only affects 2000-2003 models. But I have a 2004; any AP2 owners with this same problem?

Also, I am still under warranty, but my car is "modified." (Supercharger and Comptech Differential). The dealership said that because of this, the warranty is void and I have to pay out of pocket.

What should I do???

well for starters imma call honda and ask them if there are so manyproblems why dont they change them for free. i refuse to pay$550 for a new axle from honda. ill get a performance one that can handle 600rwhp for less then what they want for a stock one. then when i turbo it with lovefab itll already be done. by the way lovefab turbo for the s2k is amazing. anyhow i drove it to the gym today and the vibration didnt seem anywhere as bad. if i lightly push the pedal down i dont get any vibration at all. there is never any clicking either. i am going to check the tired and wheels to ensure everything is good with the balance and prolly get a alignment just toget it done anyways.if it were me. if you replace men , replace them both. and if it is a cv then ill replace the axle. no point to me in half a$$ing a job

its weird i can drive with the pedal lightly pressed and get no vibration or when im just rolling but when you hit the gas hard in vtec or not... it doesnt matter u can feel the tired feel like they have a huge rock in them and feels like you are going over a bump like a 1,000000 times a minute alsmot feel slike the tires are square then round. tired which are nittos 225"i know wrong size " duh have at least 75%tread left in rear and everything else is ok. im thinking have to be axles. so i will buy either high performance or something.. i wont buy from honda.. they suck anyways

So you put used parts on your 7 year old car, broke the ABS sensor and now you want free axles?

A SC voids the drivetrain warranty, and always has.
