Default Shift Knob Stuck

So I used a small amount of blue loctite to hold down my shift knob in case of thieves, and today when I went to remove it, it's completely stuck. I man handled it with my hands, then I tried a robogrip wrapped with electrical tape for grip and protection with no luck. The knob (or entire shifter, not sure) seems to turn around 70 degrees before going no further. Anyone have any ideas?

Ya. Take the shifter out, put it in a vice. score the hell out the knob removing it, and put the new one on.

Rotating the shifter 70 degrees is bad, there's a plastic part holding the shifter in place. Check Rick's site for removal instructions.

Guess that's what I'll end up doing. Was just trying to remove the knob so I could regrease the bushing on the shifter. Was planning on swapping for the moddiction knob soon though. Anybody selling a stock shifter? lol
