Default shifter stiff

Hey guys, Well my tranny went out not too long ago and i had it replaced (used tranny). Well i got the car back it had been fine until today, when i made about a 2 hour trip and all of the sudden the shifter was feeling stiff. It was feeking stiff taking it out of gear and even trying to wiggle it from left to right in neutral. Well all that is while i am rolling on the high way, if that makes sense. WHen im doing regular street driving the shiter feels fine. Any suggestions, ideas, comments. I was told to check about the tranny fluid im going to call the mechanic tmrw jus wondering on any other suggestions.... Thanks guys!

That makes me think shifter bushings etc.

Part # 7, 8
If you have to change those plastic bushings heat them up in warm water (in a plastic bag or something) before installing, otherwise they will break.

Neat diagram spitfires. Can degrading transmission fluid cause stiff gear and notchy shifting? Some cold days 15-35F I have slightly 1,2,3 stiff and notchy shifting, when the car is fully warmed up to 7 bars it nearly gone. I have used pennz oil synchromesh fluid for about 6 months(3000 miles), I did not like it. I changed to royal purple synchromax fluid, notchy and stiff gear shifting in cold weather is gone but too early to make judgement. I just bought new ome transmission fluid today, I will use it this fall.

With "460 rwhp| Inlinepro Turbo AP1 | Topspeed Tuned " my quess would be internal transmission problems.

Make sure the bushing is greased as well which might make it hard to move. If you do order a new bushing order a couple because chances are 1 will break putting it on and they only cost a dollar or so.
