shifting feeling off
Ive noticed that when shifting there are times that it feels notchy and has trouble shifting and other times feels nice and smooth. It doesnt seem to be affected by weather. I recently changed my trans and diff fluids and checked the clutch fluid level. Should I try regreasing the shifter or might it be something more serious?
re-greasing the shifter makes a huge difference in shifter feel and action, it won't help with a mechanical issue, but I definitely recommend doing it. What fluid are you running in the tranny ?.
Check around the clutch shift rod on the interior under the driver side footwell to make sure the clutch mc isn't leaking. Is the clutch fluid clean or dirty ?, might consider changing it if it is more than 3 years old.
On my car I had to adjust the clutch shift rod to help with the timing of my shifts, I lengthened the rod slightly to allow the clutch to disengage sooner and engage later. I found that it gave me a bit more time during the shift to get a smoother shift. It's an easy adjustment if you find that your clutch engages too low to the floor, which is a sign that you might benefit from the adjustment.
I had the same thing as you on my car. I greased the shifter as per the tsb, I changed the tranny and clutch fluids (Honda MTF II and Honda Dot3 respectively), and I adjusted the clutch rod. It now shifts as good as new. Keep in mind none of these things will help a worn tranny or solve a mechanical issue, just good things to try to eliminate some issues.

Is there a DYI on changing the clutch engagement point?
clutch fluid should prob be light brown (though will depend on the fluid mfg, some are blue, etc.).
Consider GM Synchromesh Friction Modified. Or Friction Modified from Pennzoil (maybe the same thing). It should help smooth the shifting.

Mine as well, I just replace with honda fluid, but I guess I will try with other brand one.
Jfusion- any more info about re-greasing shifter? I mean like DIY?
Thanks
